A new website, with online booking

The club has a new home at pagsc.ca. It is built to make a first flight easy to book and to give anyone thinking of learning to fly a clear picture of what it involves. A few things worth knowing about:

A booking calendar fed by the Flying Schedule

Pick a day and a start time on the Discovery Flight page and you are pencilled in. The calendar reads the club’s own Flying Schedule, so it shows the days the club is flying and the status posted for each one, and it leaves room for students who have signed up. Weekend spots are pencilled in straight away; weekday flying is on request. You get an email with the details and a link to change or cancel, and a reminder before the day with the latest from the field.

Buy a flight online, or give one

A Discovery Flight can be bought online, for yourself or as a gift. You get a gift certificate by email, designed in the club’s colours to print or forward, with a code and a QR code that open the booking calendar. Prepaid flights never expire; see Questions for the details.

Next flying days

The home page shows the next flying days straight from the schedule, with the status from the field and how many guest spots are left.

A welcome pack that keeps itself current

The nine-page welcome pack is rebuilt from the same facts as the website every time the site updates, so prices, hours and links always match. It covers booking lessons, your day at the field, costs, the path to a licence and the fleet.

More for new pilots

Learn to fly covers what your first three visits look like, the path from first lesson to solo, and what a licence costs; Costs has the full price list and where the money goes. There are pages for youth and Air Cadets and for power pilots. Members still book lessons on the Flying Schedule itself, and the Members page has the walkthrough.
