Prince Albert Gliding And Soaring Club
The Prince Albert Gliding and Soaring Club (PAG&SC), founded in 1986, with the aim to foster and promote the sport of soaring. It is a non-profit organization, affiliated with the Soaring Association of Saskatchewan and the Soaring Association of Canada.
Prince Albert Gliding and Soaring Club provides its members with:
- Flying activities that balance safety with challenge.
- Equipment that is well maintained and safe for the purpose intended.
- Flight Instruction that is careful, clear, and consistent.
- A pleasant and friendly environment in which to pursue their soaring goals.
The Prince Albert Gliding and Soaring Club at present has 15 members living in the Prince Albert, Birch Hills, Melfort, and Saskatoon areas. We operate out of the Birch Hills airport, in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, 42 KM southeast of Prince Albert on Highway 3. We share the airport with the Birch Hills Flying Club, a power pilot club.
The philosophy of the Club is to keep the cost of flying as low as reasonable. This requires that all our members help in the maintenance of equipment and facilities. There are annual dues, launch and glider rental fees.
